Claim Process

1. Qualify your roof damage and determine it needs to be replaced.  The Chandler Company offers free roof inspections.

2. File the hail claim with the insurance company. When filing the claim provide the insurance company with our name and contact # .  When the claim is assigned to an adjuster, they will know we are involved.

3. After filing the claim, call or e-mail us your claim # so we can add it to our records.

4. Set meeting with adjuster and The Chandler Company to inspect your roof together.  We will make sure any collateral damage is included on the adjuster report, such as window screens, combing A/C units, etc.  If you do not have any interior damage from the storm you do not need to be present. We can handle it for you.  However, please check to make sure there are no watermarks on the ceiling, etc.

5. If adjuster agrees, they will then produce an itemized report of all damage to your property.

6. We will bring sample board over for you to choose the roof color on your home and set dates to begin project.

7. Once the insurance company approves your claim and the adjuster has completed his report. They will issue you an ACV check (Actual cash value).  That check will not be the complete amount of your roof replacement.  That check will arrive and be issued to you and your mortgage company.  You will need to get that endorsed by your mortgage company.  Let us know your mortgage company and we will let you know branches in your area that ease that process.  Some mortgage companies require the check be mailed off to them.  If that is the case, we will work together to expedite that process.

8. The insurance company will hold back your depreciation amount on your roof.   That is something they calculate based on the age of your roof.  That entire amount less your deductible will be released to you once we send in a final invoice at the jobs completion.

9. Once the claim is filed, We will do the leg work with the insurance company.
